Flared socket connection

A method of connecting PE double wall corrugated pipes by making one end a socket and the other end a socket. There are two methods for forming sockets on double wall corrugated pipes: The expansion molding method involves first forming a double wall corrugated pipe, then heating one end locally and expanding it into a socket. The advantage of this method is that the socket part is a structural wall, with good stiffness and reliable connection. 2、 The socket online forming method generally uses a pair of special forming mold blocks on a corrugated forming machine to directly press the inner and outer layers of the double wall corrugated pipe to form the socket. When the wall thickness and length of the socket meet the standard requirements, the reliability of the connection is guaranteed, and the produced pipeline is formed in one go, with more guaranteed quality.

Haval external fixed connection (mechanical compression connection)

Install a specialized rubber sealing sleeve on the two double wall corrugated pipe ports that need to be connected without a socket, and then add a half split clamp (also known as a Huff part) on the outside, and clamp the Huff part with screws. This type of pipe connection is called a Huff external fixed connection. Although there is no standard test method for evaluation yet, based on practical application experience, this sealing method is reliable and has been accepted by many users. However, due to the large amount of rubber used in this connection method, the price is relatively expensive, and the half of the clamps (Huff parts) are coated with cast iron or steel plates, attention needs to be paid to the corrosion protection of the metal parts.

Crosslinked polyethylene heat shrink sleeve (tape) connection

This connection method overlaps fiber reinforced heat shrink sleeves at the connection, and polyethylene forms cross-linking bonds between molecular chains after crosslinking, forming a three-dimensional network structure. This structure significantly changes factors such as stress cracking resistance, wear resistance, deformation resistance, chemical resistance, and low temperature resistance, resulting in good insulation, corrosion resistance, sturdiness, sealing, and waterproofing. During construction, attention should be paid to waterproofing, and space for heating operations should be left in the grooves at the interface.

Sleeve fitting connection

Sleeve fitting connection is also known as pipe fitting connection. In this connection, there is no socket on the double wall corrugated pipe. The advantage of using a double ended socket connection sleeve is that it is easy to operate, and the socket of the connection sleeve is easy to make more perfect, so the sealing is reliable. But the use of pipe fittings and sealing rings has increased the cost of the pipeline network.
