The PE pipe production line is mainly composed of raw material conveying system, extruder, mold, cooling and shaping device, traction and cutting device and control system. The process is as follows:
Raw material conveying: The PE raw material particles are fed into the hopper of the extruder through the feeding system. The feeding system usually includes components such as feeders, feed hoppers, etc., to ensure that the raw materials can enter the extruder continuously and stably.
Heating and melting: Inside the barrel of the extruder, the raw material particles are heated to a molten state. In this process, a heater in the barrel provides the necessary heat to gradually soften the raw material particles and eventually become molten plastic. The heating system usually consists of a heater and a temperature control system to ensure that the temperature inside the barrel can reach the temperature required for melting.
Screw propulsion: The molten plastic moves forward along the axial direction of the barrel under the rotation and push of the screw. The screw is the core component of the extruder, providing pressure and prompting the flow of plastic.Mold molding: When molten plastic passes through the mold of an extruder, it is given a specific shape and size. The design of the mold is determined according to the shape and size of the desired product, which is a key link in forming the shape of the final product.
Cooling and shaping: The extruded plastic parison immediately enters a cooling device (such as a cooling sink or spray cooling box) to quickly shape the tube through rapid cooling. The purpose of cooling is to allow the plastic to cure quickly, maintaining the desired shape and size.
Traction vs. cutting: In order to maintain continuous production, extruders are usually equipped with traction devices. The traction device pulls the cooled and shaped pipe out of the extruder and conveys it stably according to the set speed. At the same time, the cutting machine cuts the continuously conveyed pipes into finished products of a certain length to meet different use needs.
