PE20-110mm, PE75-250mm pipe machines tested running for Tanzania customer

With the accelerated urbanization process, the growth of infrastructure investment and the rising demand for agricultural irrigation in Tanzania, the market demand for PE (polyethylene) plastic pipes is showing a significant growth trend. The following are the main driving factors and market prospects:

(1) Municipal water supply and pipeline renovation

- The Tanzanian government is actively promoting the "National Clean Water Plan" with the goal of achieving nationwide coverage of safe drinking water by 2030. PE pipes have become the first choice to replace traditional metal pipes due to their corrosion resistance, good flexibility, and long life (more than 50 years).

- There is a strong demand for upgrading old pipe networks in large cities such as Dar es Salaam and Mwanza, and the application of PE pipes in municipal water supply and drainage systems continues to increase.

(2) Agricultural irrigation expansion

- Agriculture accounts for more than 25% of Tanzania's GDP, and the government encourages the promotion of modern irrigation technology. PE pipes (especially HDPE pipes) are widely used in drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation systems due to their UV resistance, pressure resistance and low cost.

(3) Mining and industrial development

- Tanzania is the fourth largest gold producer in Africa. Mining development requires a large number of wear-resistant and chemical-resistant PE pipes for slurry transportation and wastewater treatment.

(4) Natural gas pipeline construction

- Tanzania has 58 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves, and the future natural gas transmission pipeline network will use high-specification PE pipes.‌
