PE pipe welding method

The connection interface of hot-melt butt joint is a plane. The method is to heat two identical connection surfaces to a viscous flow state with a hot plate, remove the hot plate, apply a certain pressure to the connection interface, and cool and solidify under this pressure to form a firm connection. Before heating and butting, it is necessary to mill both ends of the pipe to be welded, so as to make the welding surface smoother and cleaner, and remove the plastic oxide layer on the port surface, so as to melt the same molecules more thoroughly.

The main processes of the whole welding process are adjustment, heating, switching, joint pressing and cooling. When butting, the materials in viscous state on the interface have both flow and diffusion, and too large flow is not conducive to diffusion and entanglement, so it is necessary to limit the flow to a certain extent and realize "post-melting connection" in limited flow. Therefore, the key of welding process is to adjust the three parameters of temperature, time and pressure in the butt joint process, and to consider the properties, stress, geometry and environmental conditions of the connecting interface materials together, so as to realize reliable welding. Tests should be carried out according to the general rules and the characteristics of the materials used respectively, and the welding quality should be evaluated. After reaching the system standard, the technological procedures of various varieties and specifications should be determined, and welding installation should be carried out according to the specified technological parameters, methods and steps.

Heating plate and milling cutter are necessary in hot melt welding machine, whether manual or hydraulic. The difference is that the former relies on manual operation, while the latter is powered by hydraulic system to realize hydraulic automatic control. Especially for large diameter pipes, milling, heating and cooling all require great pressure, which is generally difficult for manpower.
