Every August 15th of the lunar calendar is the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival in China. This is the middle of the fall, so it is called the Mid-Autumn Festival. This is also the second largest traditional festival in China.

In the Chinese lunar calendar, the year is divided into four seasons, and each season is divided into three parts: Meng, Zhong and Ji. The Mid-Autumn Festival is also called Zhongqiu. The moon on August 15 is more round and brighter than the full moons of other months, so it is also called Moon Festival, Autumn Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, August Festival, Chasing Moon Festival, Playing Moon Festival, and Daughter's Day or Reunion Festival. It is a traditional cultural festival popular among many ethnic groups across the country. This night, people look up to the moon which is like a jade and expect family reunion. The wanderer far away from home is also relying his own thoughts about his hometown and his loved ones on the round moon. Therefore, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the "Reunion Festival."
